Belthazar Restaurant & Wine Bar

Belthazar is a unique spot in Cape Town’s bustling V&A Waterfront. This restaurant combines a grill, wine bar, and gourmet shop, offering guests a refreshing take on dining out. Belthazar brings a touch of sophistication to the Waterfront’s tourist hub, blending cozy, romantic vibes with a stunning view of Table Bay.

The warehouse-turned-chic-eatery feel sets Belthazar apart, along with its massive wine selection. It self-proclaims to have the world’s largest wine bar, with a mind-boggling 600 wines on offer. If you’re feeling adventurous, their sommeliers can pour you a glass from about 250 different Cape wines.

Belthazar’s fancy climate-controlled storage system keeps each bottle at just the right temperature and humidity. To show just how much they care about quality, Belthazar serves every drink in Riedel glassware to really bring out the flavors.

Of course, it’s not all about the wine. The menu features delectable steaks and fresh seafood, among other dishes. Their commitment to providing the best also extends to their exquisite dishes, as they snagged the SA Grainfed Beef Chateau Libertas Steakhouse of the Year award back in 2005.

Throughout the year, Belthazar hosts special events, including festive Christmas dinners and New Year’s Eve bashes. These celebrations typically feature special menus and entertainment to mark the occasion.

So, if you’re a wine lover, foodie, or just looking for a memorable meal out in Cape Town, Belthazar will leave an impression.
